Contracting has many advantages, but it also puts compensation in your own hands. If you don't have a good idea of what benefits are worth and how taxes affect your earning potential, agencies and corporations will use that to their advantage. Don't let that happen.

How does it work?

It's pretty simple really. The Rate Assistant uses some reasonable default values for taxes and expenses to help you quickly calculate a comprehensive rate based on the salary you'd expect to earn in a year. The Salary and Rate Calculators are a bit more sophisticated, allowing you to try out all sorts of "what if" scenarios in addition to handling customized expense and tax situations.
